How to Fix Situation When You Can't Open a URL File into Chrome with a Double-Click of URL File in Finder

Select URL file

Command-I for info window

Turn off Hide extension checkbox

Confirm that you want to Turn off Hide extension for all of this type of file.

"Open with" might indicate Safari (default) even though Chrome is your default browser. You can probably ignore this; your Mac might not allow you change it anyway.

This should correct the situation.

Note: extension file is .webloc
